Our Favorite Vendors: Your Friendly Kreative
1. What services do you offer?
Can you create invitations, place cards, seating charts, or signage?
We specialize in signage, seating charts, and unique place cards—what I like to call "branded" signage suites. These are designed to complement your event’s décor and ambiance perfectly. We aim to craft pieces that feel like an authentic representation of you. If you’re dreaming of something out-of-the-box or one-of-a-kind, we’re more than here for it!
Regarding invitation suites, though, I leave that to the stationery professionals. Figuring out what paper to use and creating bellybands, wax seals, envelope inserts, and more are very specific skills, and we have some amazing stationery vendors in PGH that you should work with instead!
Do you provide custom designs or work with pre-existing templates?
This is a weird answer but we actually do both! For those who want every detail to reflect their vision and have a more flexible budget, we pride ourselves on creating things no one has seen before. However, in the spirit of sustainability and reducing waste, we’re also introducing rentable collections for general signage like table numbers, cards, and gift signs. This gives you flexibility while keeping things eco-friendly.
2. What is your pricing structure?
Do you charge per piece, by the hour, or have package rates?
Pricing is per piece, reflecting the time, labor, and materials involved in every unique creation. Once we connect and discuss your vision, you’ll be provided with a tailored quote. This includes considerations like the ratio of rented to custom pieces, the materials involved, and any special extras you'd like.
Are there additional costs for rush orders, materials, or revisions?
Yes, additional costs apply for special materials not initially discussed—think embellishments like pearls, rhinestones, unique vinyl, or custom finishes—and for transportation if needed. Revisions are included in the process until final approval, but if changes are requested after a piece is built, additional charges for time, labor, and materials will apply. We don't accept rush projects, as quality work requires time and care - and your big day/event deserves real investment. Any late additions will be added to the final invoice.
3. What is your experience with wedding calligraphy and related artistry?
Have you worked on specific wedding themes or custom designs?
Themes are our specialty! My background as a brand strategist means I’m always considering the finer details, from the typography and art on your invitations to your color palette, venue, and floral arrangements. Even with rentable suites, there’s room for custom touches—like a personalized bar menu or signature drink signs that reflect your story (that can become bar art in your home later!). We’ve created suites in themes from timeless black/white and bohemian terracota’s to gold featured accents and full bright pinks, yellows, and blues.
Do you incorporate artistic elements like illustrations or embellishments?
Of course! If you’re rocking pearl details in your outfit, let’s weave that into your place cards. If your invitations feature stunning floral motifs, we can replicate them for cohesive décor. These thoughtful details make a lasting impression. However, keep in mind that additional materials and intricacy will influence the final cost.
4. What is your timeline for completion?
How far in advance should I place my order?
I recommend placing orders at least six months in advance. The bespoke builds we create take time, and this ensures we can navigate any unforeseen material delays or design adjustments while still delivering your vision. Your event deserves careful planning and execution!
What happens if I need changes or additions closer to the wedding date?
Changes can always be made up until final confirmation before production begins. After that, changes or additions will incur extra fees for time, labor, and materials. If additions are requested, we’ll have a candid discussion about timelines to see what’s realistically possible.
5. What customization options do you provide?
Can you match my wedding theme, colors, or font preferences?
Absolutely, that’s how I do things! My process starts with mood boarding, where I gather inspiration for every type of signage you need. I pull from details like your invitation typography, wedding color palette, and venue and floral aesthetics to ensure a cohesive and personalized design.
Do you offer options for different materials, such as wood, acrylic, or fabric, in addition to paper?
Your Friendy Kreative focuses on builds—wood, acrylic, and fabric are our go-to materials for creating impactful pieces. Paper products, while beautiful, are best left to dedicated stationers. I’m happy to and have collaborated with stationery vendors to create a seamless look, but my specialty lies in crafting tactile, innovative designs. Think of magnetized seating charts with interactive place cards or bold acrylic signage that doubles as home décor.
